The LM3886 Chip is famous in Internet DIY circles for it's great sound quality. (Often referred to as 'Gainclone' amps).
This APPSI kitset is an elegant implementation of this using minimal feedback and a power supply that is integrated onto the same PCB 90mm square (~4") This makes it easy to build and great to listen to. Essentially only transformers needed in addition to these modules. [The 'Classic' 47 Laboratory style circuit can also be built on this PCB by changing a few components]
The Piccolo kitset has been designed to fit idirectly n the exPower chassis. The heatsinks are supplied pre drilled for Piccolo.
The compact nature of Piccolo makes it easy to build multi-channel amps for home-theatre applications. Ask if you want to build a four or six channel amp.
Specifying the Switch and Alps pot kit can turn this into an Integrated amplifier.
